Sasti & Mark contacted me for a session in Kyoto initially but later decided to come nearer to me for their photo session. They wanted their images to showcase the natural winter scenery in Japan as well as some traditional elements. The natural choice was Shirakawago and Takayama. We were hoping that there would still be snow in Shirakawago and we weren't disappointed.
We were blessed with a beautiful weather, rather rare for the West Japan area! Nevertheless, it was still winter and very cold. They were so patient, positive and did so well, enduring the chilly winds. Hats off to winter couples! They had also traveled down to West Japan from Tokyo , did their shoot and went back to Tokyo, all on the same day! Thankfully, they managed to squeeze in some time to reward themselves with famous Hida beef before hopping on the train back!
