Last fall, I had the pleasure of making images for Steven and Lida from Canada in Tokyo. When I first met them, they told me that they had been together for such a long time, that it would probably be difficult for them to be in loving poses. As we went into the photo session, everything just fell into place. Sure, they giggled a little in awkwardness at first. But they soon relaxed and just became themselves. I don't think they realized that there is this mutual comfort and assurance between both of them. They were completely comfortable, in the way they looked at each other, the way they fitted into each other hugs. :)
We were a little lucky that the weather held up, but rewarded us with some natural confetti at the end of the session. Just in time for some romantic rain shots to finish off the awesome session.
