When Nicholas contacted me to capture his surprise proposal, telling me he intended to propose to his girlfriend, Joyce, in Tokyo Disneyland, I was super excited. Both Nicholas and Joyce are huge fans of Disney, so it was the perfect place for their proposal.
Prior to the day of proposal, we discussed about the exact location of the proposal and drew out graphically the positionings. Joyce already knew that they would be having a photo session, but she of course wasn't aware of the proposal. When Nicholas dropped down to his knee in front of the Cinderella Castle, there were gasps and clapping from the people around them. And Joyce looked at Nicholas like he was the only person there, with such adoration. I absolutely adore proposals *heart*
After the proposal, we continued the engagement shoot in Disneyland and Tokyo city. Since it was spring, I managed to hunt down a cherry blossom spot for them! (Thank god for early blooming cherry blossoms) We also had fun exploring the streets of Tokyo, just enjoying the atmosphere of the city near Tokyo Station and Marunouchi.
